I guess, I'm following a few of the guys closer than the others. But I think I've spoken to most of the field and chatted to them about how it's going. But, you can't remember every rider, and where they came.

I'm more interested in the club racers (as in not Ducati London/JHP).

If in 2007 anybody other than myself remembers where I finished in the 1st year of DD I will be very suprised as it doesn't actually matter where I finish.
What I will always have is the memories and as mentioned, put on a good crash for the onlookers and a few more will remember you because of the memories they will take home with them.
1st will be remembered and maybe 2nd (or as some would say 1st Loser)
The main people that will rember you racing are your mates especially those you share the race weekends with, be it out on track or in the paddock.

I don't think it matters at all what people on the 'outside' think and more what your fellow riders think, coz they know what you're up against, what you're riding, how hard it is. Nobody else has a clue, and anyone who thinks the race winner is riding the hardest is fooling themselves (unless the race winner is on a 583 )

I don't care what anyone thinks of me or my results, but it is nice to have the respect of your peers.

The people who matter will remember your achievements, whether that is 1st or 20th.

Chin up you slow git, you're dragging me mood down :P:P
