Hello

Register form -

Good grief that was like filling in a tax form but harder !

I have been reading message board for ages - you are all mad !

I am an older ( slow ) rider and have had my 851 for 8 years.
Wife wanted baby - I wanted 851 - negotiated settlement - bike now paid for - daughter still costing fortune - short straw anyone?
Have not been able to ride for a couple of years for medical reasons but am hoping to start again at end of July.

Have fired her up every 3 months or so but have been reading about belts going hard if left standing. ( Are they made from Viagra? ) Woods in Abergele have said not to ride her until belts are changed - Is this right ?

Am from the Wirral ( Between Liverpool and Chester )

Love my 851 - Tried out a 916 but felt like I was hanging out over the front wheel. The 851 riding position is not as radical, and the sound of it gives me goosebumps still.

Have fitted high level Termigoni exhaust to improve looks / sound but have kept the standard pipes.

Tried out a Firestorm a while ago and thought it was a good bike and felt secure - got home and went out on the 851 , it felt like a 250 - really nimble compared to the Firestorm.

I can't imagine ever selling her - what else would you get for 2 thousand quid?
