No run off, very narrow, dire facilities to name but three reasons Henry, when you've been spoilt with Silverstone, Brands, Donny, Oulton, Rockingham etc etc...

Are you saying that the challenge of riding Cadwell is too much for you then? Or that conditions have to be spot on before you'll ride a circuit?

You're missing out JPM, Cadwell is superb.

Challenge? no Jools, IMO Oulton is by far the best circuit in the UK, luckily on my doorstep, but if it wasn't I'd make damn sure I'd go a few times a year, closely followed by Donny.

Conditions, not really, just don't think it's worth the trip to a circuit that isn't any better than Oulton and has very poor facilities.

What many forget is that from London Oulton is actually closer than Cadwell

I did my first trackday ever at cadwell park last year. I can't honestly see whats supposed to be scary about it and i'm the most cautious road rider you will ever find!.

Which is why I really must go there! How about an "un-offical" Track Attack on the place in September? I'm up for it!

See my other thread...

It's kind of in-hand, although this year will be a push, Oulton dates sell out fairly sharpish

I was really scared about doing a trackday at Cadwell earlier in the year but I had to have a go as my father used to have the sidecar track record in the 70's and he was keen to see me have a go. My other problem was that my track bike is a 1000cc UJM and I thought this maybe too much for there so geared it down a little.

Anyway I did my first trackday, very, very cautiously at first with Apex (who gave brilliant advice on corner apexing, etc) and swiftly moved up to the fast group in the end with 1min50's. I was well chuffed and have been back to the track since.

Before Cadwell, I was a real Donni fan (especially being 25mins down the road), but I'm in love with Cadders now, although my next aim is Oulton.....
