Looking at your 888 ad got me reading this thread ... christ but we're a lot of old cripples, why do we keep doing it ?

I had a really bad disc prolapse early in 02, and lost most of the year doing chiro, physio, excercises and other crap like that. I though my active life was over.
Then I had surgery to remove the sticky-outy bit of the disc and suck out what was left in the centre.
Not a thing to have done lightly, but it's just not possible to live when you're in pain all the time which isnt vaguely sorted by painkillers. The valium helped sometimes, but just cos it made me fly !
Then 4 days after the op I was at home feeling great, did some little stupid and it was all back again - the surgeon hadnt done the job properly.
Anyway back in hosp 3 days later for another go ... with a different surgeon ... which turned out ok.
You dont half get looked after by the nurses and physios when you're back in for a second go at the same op though !
Well, here I am 3 years later, running up to half-marathon distance off-road, racing up to 8 times in one day.
I just have to lie down for a while after a race sometimes

There IS hope, if and only if you find the right people to help you understand what YOU need to do to help yourself and find out what is really wrong.
Oh, and you need to cultivate patience too ! But you knew that bit.

I have a garage full of bikes that I never considered selling while there was the remotest hope of riding them again.
Don't do anything rash.

I wish I could say the neck peoblem is the only reason I`m selling the T8,cos if it was I`d keep it and see it out, but it`s not,it`s only one of the reasons, and trust me there`s nothing wrong with the bike either,so if there`s anymore room in your garage you could have a real one
