the best chart to look at is ofgem, I know the top ones, are atlantic, scottish power and virgin, altho virgin is internet only.

as long as wot you choose isn't the monopoly one in your area you will save, but to get best value, go for neither and go the same and you get dual fuel discount.

allow it to go through in 28 days and take an 'opening read' and a closing read which maybe a 'gas' person may come along and do that for you..

I am with Atlantic and as part of the package I get free Cover for all internal plumbing and heating. Had to use the 24hr number once and had a plumper here within the hour to fix a daft fault on my boiler. All FOC of course.

I'm with Atlantic too, and as I've been them a year, they give you back a loyalty thing.. It's a month back of free gas and electricity, whatever your month direct debit is, they give it back to you in your account.. How cool is that? - the only ones I know who do that, get a free month...

I 've used ww.uswitch.com

It does a good comparison and makes recommendations. It can also be a good bargaining tool with your existing providers to reduce bills.

That's good then Rockhopper, it only takes a month too, 28 days notice all that is required, take a closing and opening read yourself though - just in case...
