Scotty - g'arn, do it
and after the first year, it then costs you £20 a year.
You'll get not just discounts at dealers and DSC trackdays (be great to see you at the next one - maybe Cadwell?) but also you'll get the Pronto magazine, which I think is 6 times a year.
Webby has also negotiated discounts with the AA, there are also discounts with Ducati insurance (I think) - and you can also get the club t-shirt

- apart from other items of clothing etc, tho no DSC undies yet!
I know what Gizmo is saying about the potential benefits are possibly small in your area at the moment due to not so many members - or the members being well dispersed as you go north. AK & I 'carded' a few bikes when out & about for a day near Cadwell earlier this year, and know the club gained at least one paid up member from that - who then came along to the club trackday the following day

As has been said before in other threads, you get out what you put in - and having met you at the UKMOC weekender 2 years ago when you 'popped' down to Arrow Mill, I know you like to get out & about

You never know, you could become a RO if there is none in your area?
Its not just the far flung regions tho, as I know Tom Stack often struggles to get bods along in the Kent region for the monthly meet......
just my 5p worth
