I competed against Richard Burns when he was just 17 years old. It was a club level rally near Bagshot. He won the event

Truly a gifted driver and all round nice chap. A great shame.

Quite shocked to hear the news!!

Was very dissapointed on how little coverage this got compared to George Best. A little caption was it on Sky news.

One was self inflicted, and one wasn't, yet we make more out of one cos he was a footballer.

Sad day for the Rally scene as he was very genuine bloke!!!

IMHO thats a bit harsh.

They are both gone and were both loved by their families, friends and fans alike, the amount of publicity that one or either of them receives is of no importance.

They were both great "sportsmen"
