Pressure plate the arrow or dimple allignment

Just taken off my a dp plate to sell and the standard one wouldnt key in easily to teeth of the drum only after several attempts rotating it loads did it key in.

My question is what is the arrow/dimple on the plate supposed to align with?

I tested it by doing some pull aways and it worked like normal

thanks for quick reply Keefer, i wonder if mine just happen to land on the line up or not lol, maybe it will only go on the way it was orginally on lined up?? I knew it was supposed to line up with something but forgot lol

If its not lined up whats likely to happen?? is it worth checking?

As long as the teeth on the clutch drum aline with the plate it should be ok.If they dont,it usually meens a lack of drive!
