How do I (MP3 question)
How do I convert MP3 files into a format that can be played on normal CD players as opposed to 'puters?

What format do the files need to be to be compatible? WAV? WMA? Any sugggestions?

A mate has burned me every number 1 single from 1953 thru to 2004, and whilst a load of them are gonna be rubbish, quite a few would go together to make an interesting compilation.

.aiff but files end up at about 50 meg per track and going back from mp3/ac4 the quality is only the same as the ripped MP3/ac4 file, itunes should be able to make an audio cd for you.

Just use windows media player to burn an audio cd. It automatically converts MP3 into CDA.

I use either real player or winamp and choose burn to cd as 'Audio cd' you will only be able to get about 18 on one cd dpending on track size though

Best leave as mp3's all new dvd and cd players seem to play em now to

Any of the mentioned programs will do it for you.

Depending on what platform you use PC/MAC/Linux one of the programs will already be installed.

PC - You will already have windows media player (assumung your running xp, if your not just download windows media player 10 from the Microsoft Site)

MAC - You will already have iTunes. (OS X) Also available for PC from www.apple.com/itunes
