Problem - bullet cam

Hmmm... well Santa brought me a bullet cam for Xmas, but I haven't got a camcorder so the sales roll up and off we go shopping, I end up purchasing a JVC GR-DF470 and as you can see from the link it does have AV input.

The manual goes through step by step on how to record via the AV in, click here for the manual (page 52)

Anyways it doesn't work, the bullet cam doesn't come with any instructions just the camera, various cables and a holder for batteries to power it.

I've attempted to plug the DVD player into the camcorder and tried to record that signal but again didly squat, it does record normally though and also playback via the same AV connection.

I cannot connect the bullet cam to the TV and see if that works though, but I am at a loss as to why I cannot record to the camcorder from another source.

Anyone got any ideas or experience of said bullet cam/camcorder?

Have a look at page 42, halfway down on the left. See if that helps.

Well just got all of the cables out, the room looks like Pinewood studios, went to the page you mention, no idea what I did (nothing seemingly different) and the bloody thing has cranked up into life, even Lily is as bemused as I am

....Thanks for the advice, even though I've got no idea what it was, 42 the meaning of life maybe?

yep page 42, S/AV INPUTS & then page 52, Dubbing to or from a VCR, using the AV socket, but you will be recording from your bullit cam

Have attached a scan of my bullit cam instructions as they should be the same. Save the scaned image to your desktop & zoom in to be able to read it.

Well went out for a gruelling MTB ride yesterday, got the camera all set up before we left, everything looking good, I'd decided to do a trial run through a Welsh forrest.

Anyway got there, unloaded the bike, come to set the camera up nothing again, did the ride anyway, got home got the camera out and the bloody thing sprang into life again
