All self employed people who can show that their enterprise has generated new jobs and the opening of new businesses are exempt from income tax. We seriously need some real incentives in this country to get productivity going again. Our reliance on non productive service industries and money shuffling is a massive bubble waiting to burst.

Reduction in petty EU legislation that adversely effects our ability to compete with other countries who don't implement the same legislation.

All the immigration stuff that ScottyB suggested.

All the hard on crime stuff that philthy suggested.

"Mav? are you going to represent the Monster Raving Loonies in the next elections?" No need doogleman, I can't see them chucking Mr. B. Liar out can you ?

Make it compulsory that an MP will only be allowed to represent the area in which they have lived permanently for the previous 10 years.

Make new jail of one single open grid (floor, walls, ceiling) cell and about 15 stories high.
Put the tax dodgers in the top cell, and work your way down the building with paedophiles and the like in the bottom cells.
Then lock 'em up and don't let em out till their times up.
On a weekly basis hose down the cells.

Pay doctors on a no cure no fee basis and make pharmaceuticals free for all.

Bring back the threepenny bit cos my pennies keep rolling down the grid and under desks.

If we ban immigration, who's gonna do all the jobs they currently do?The NHS will grind to a halt, most businesses will not be able to function properly and where will i get take-away food from
The truth is 99% of people will do nothing if it's an option, regardless of nationality.Ask yourself why the goverment does'nt allow 'illegals' to work.Surely the better option would be to kick out people who won't work regardless of where they were born.
The rule should be to welcome anyone who finds themselves a job, pays taxes and generally tries to live a honest life.I don't think i'm being that naive

Quite - hubby has not claimed a thing off the State in all the 7 years he's been here. And until he got his British citizenship I wasn't allowed to, not that I have.

I am quite sickened when I see those who have council accomodation 5 times larger than I can afford simply because they breed like rabbits.

I also think people should be made to vote - even if it is a spoiled vote you should cast it or be fined for not taking your citizenship seriously. 100% poll with 75% spoiled would make quite a statement I should think.

Blaming a poor/rough childhood etc etc for breaking the law should be banned - take responsibility for actions and bl**dy well live with the consequences.

Capital punishment.

I'll stop there.

Being married to a Dutch girl, I remember her comments after being stuck in one of those "non-accident" tailbacks on a dual carriageway during the middle of the day, you know the ones, when a tractor or JCB is doing 25mph and is causing the delay.

In Holland, no tractor or slow-moving JCB type vehicle are allowed on a dual carriageway / motorway between the hours of 7.30am-6.30pm or there or thereabouts.

Oh, and HGVs are not allowed to overtake during those hours either.

Belting idea in my opinion.
