I've noted a few times that later models of DUke than mine are fitted with an 'upside-down' caliper and a torque arm - I quite like the look of this setup but in reality is it really worth uprating an older setup ???

I imagine the intention is less suspension squat when using the rear brake?

Actually, I've just talked myself out of doing this already as I hardly use my rear brake anyways

An upside down (as in underslung caliper) gives squat. That is desirable in braking because it helps to counteract the dive cause by the front brakes...in effect reducing the fore-aft pitching effect.

Using a topside rear caliper cause the rear of the bike to rise during use of the rear brake.

Whether you'd notice any worthwhile improvement is debatable. The rear brake on my 748 is totally ineffective....scrutineering use only!

Not for me...I hardly ever use the back brake, except to hold the bike on a hill start so on my 888 it would just be a cosmetic exercise to look a bit tricker than standard.

Rather spend my dosh on summat functional rather than just cosmetic

Function; Probably not (I havent bothered on my 888 and I use the back brake loads, especially on the track.)

Yes bling is 'in' - but - wouldnt I need a different caliper holding plate as well.

Hmmmm.....much rather have a track day instead
