having read the title of this post (italy into the battlefield next) the following question came to mind...

i dont really follow "rugger" but just wondered if half way thru the tournament, the italians realise they have no chance of winning, so string up their manager in a rome square and change sides to whoever is top of the league ?

Unless England play an absolute blinder, I reckon it will be tight until half time. Then, if we're lucky, we'll pull away a bit. Italy have given us a couple of scares before, and they're going to be majorly pi55ed off after Ireland's dodgy win.

Ian spot on then ...

Italy 16 - 31 England

The scoreline belies an unconvincing win - bravo Italia!

If Wales can beat Scotland tomorrow then only England can win the Grand Slam.

Loved the quote today-

"Italy welcome the English fans to Rome, they drink and eat and don't fight anyone"

Another reason why Rugby is miles better than football

Football-is that the game played with a round ball???

Or as my technology master at school said "Football-that's 22 grown men chasing a leather covered bag of wind round a field..................."-he sailed Tornado catamarans.

Very sorry Scotland - shame you had to loose like that - put up a spirited display I thought for 14 men.

Why, of why do we have to have these southern hemisphere refs? I want to watch the Rugby not these t@ssers - keep em for southern hemisphere teams they deserve each other - they can all whinge together then

Only England can win the Slam now
