suspension settings 748

i have a 1999 748bp and have seen conflicting recommended settings for front and rear suspension settings. can someone tell me what the standard settings should be please? many thanks.

hi there standard settings are starting with front pre-load 5 rings showing
10 clicks out from fully closed for rebound top screw

12 clicks out from fully closed (if you are finding fr. a bit hard try another 2 clicks out here )for compression the bottom screws

rear compression screw 1 turn out the top screw and the same for rebound screw 1 turn out both from fully cosed
As for rear pre-load that could be any where ,check to see how much sag you have by fully extending rear shock and letting it full under its own weight (hopefully some one supporting front of the bike)you are after 8-12 mm .

thanks Paul. what you have said is what i have in an owners manual i have picked up...year unknown. but the downloaded version on ducs website seems to have an error the way i have read it. what you have described is how i set it up yesterday...thanks a lot

will these settings change for a monoposto 748s ridden by me at 11stone?
