Isle of Man 2006

Anyone going to the Island ? Any meets being arranged ?

I'm heading off to Liverpool on Tues 30th in the evening.....gonna do a stop over at a B&B near Warrington and then pick up the ferry on Weds morning at 07:30am.

I'm really looking forward to the ride from Brighton to Warrington on the 748R.....M23, M25, M40, M42, M6.....oh that's going to be so much fun on a Tuesday night........

Luckily I have a friend on the Island who's an Osteopath.....I have a feeling that I'll be needing his services......

It'll be the first really long blast that I've done on the bike, I know after about an hour my thumbs and palms really begin to hurt......can anyone offer an advice about doing a 300 mile blast in one hit ? Tank bag to slump on ? adjusting the bars maybe ?

Will be there until the 7th June when I have to head back......

Thanks Guys.....

I guess only us soft Southerners actually ride our bikes rather than cart them round the country in vans......or is there something you're not telling me ?

Will it actually cover 300 miles in one go without bio-degrading ?

Keep on at the missus Zaker.....I notice the 'short break' conveniently encompasses 'Mad Sunday' or is that just an amazing coincidence ?

Tell her that you're taking the bike over to show a prospective buyer (who mysteriously never appears). Shame.

YMFB - You're absolutely right, except rather buy a bike there it'll be cheaper to buy the aircraft to fly me there......will look on e-bay later, they had a nice Apache helicopter gunship a few weeks ago....I'm sure I could tuck the 748 in that....anyone got a pilots licence ?

Yes it will. Have faith :P

The bike will be fine but you may expire
Take Paracetamol Extra, Ibuprofin and Red Bull every 3 hours

Here speaks Dr. Ruth

Thank you very much Dr. Ruth for your wisdom.....

I now I know who to come to should I have any problems with the bike

Have already stock piled a load of drugs to see me through the ride, but judging by your recommendations I'll need to go out and get a load from the chemist rather than the bloke in the park.....

I still can't believe I'm about to subject myself to that sort of ride....but still....it'll be character building.....

I'll let you know how I got on.....may even post a pic to prove I made it that far !!!
