Hello

For me . . flying for 12 hours to Indonesia (Jakarta) then another 12 hour train journey, night stop over then a 7 hour bus trip to my wife's village.
picking up a 125cc with flat tyres and leaking tank, with me, my wife and son
heading to the beach for a sea food dinner, followed by a sunset beer on the beach.

Hope to do it all again next year . . .

Oh and my first TD at Rockingham, and a few rideouts with Karl and Skidlids.

The first time i ever rode off road in the Sahara. I'd read something saying "once you've been out in the desert you'll never be the same"

Bollox i thought. How wrong i was. Blasting to the top of a dune about 800 feet high and looking at the harshness and beauty of the landscape, how do people live out there?

Then howling down desert tracks and to reach the overnight stop and again riding to the top of the highest dune and watching the sun go down after hammering round more dunes. The worlds biggest wilderness/playground, but treat it with respect, also knowing that i'd barely scratched the surface.

The night sky and the stars are just so vivid out there.

First time I crashed on the road, I picked myself up dusted myself down, walked over to the bike picked it up, bashed a few things straight and rode off on it thinking this crashing lark ain't to bad.

Took me a couple of years to learn otherwise and stop riding around as if I was invincible but it felt great while it lasted.
