Talking Dom and Phil

Fantastic racing from both of you. You both made supreme efforts to become champions in this series and deserve to win. Two very determined and single minded racers. I hope there's a nice big prize giving at Cadwell with press coverage and everything. There's been plenty of interest in the series and it'll be great to see Dom's smiling pixie face when he accepts his award, and Phil's cool, confident one too.

Thinking about how some restoration of good faith can be made for the DD series, hopefully with the blessing of the RC, how about getting the commentator at Cadwell to report the clean bill of health on Dom's bike after the 'ACU compliant' challenge and announce the time of the end of season prize giving during the day's racing, because that does seem to be a bit of a shambles. We never seem to know when and where it's going to be and usually have to go and find out somehow if we don't want to miss it. I also think it would be good if everyone from the series attended the prize giving. I know last year not everyone went along. I think this year a good strong rider presence along with all the DD fans who have spent time and money attending would be an upbeat end to the series. Maybe Geoff Spencer could come and award the prizes, as it's on his doorstep. Or the guy from the magazine who was at the DSC Trackdays last month. He was considering joining the series next year, I believe. The guy at Snetterton mentioned the guy who won his series on his 50th birthday several times, so they're obviously happy to have stuff to read out. They just need to be given the script. I'll volunteer to go and find the guy and give him something to read out - something impartial, non-inflammatory and congratulory, which is entirely as it should be.

well done

Congratulations to Phil and Dom on winning their respective championships.

Its been great to see Phil going from strength to strength, from fast smooth road rider to winning club racer.

Has been equally great to watch Dom struggle with his demons and triumph over them forcing his rivals to raise their games dramaticaly.

Two worthy champions of which the DSC should be proud.

I'd really like to look forward to seeing them do battle next year. A whole season repeat of the SOT(?) race at Oulton. It should be a belting season next year.

If this dosent happen, then it will be DDs and the clubs loss.

Respect to the two of you for making the difficult look easy, surely the sign of a champion
