Hi all,
Done about 1400miles on these on the RSV, and got a bit of an opinion now, but would just like to double check with anyone else that has used these.

Basically, I dont like them. I always feel like the rear is sliding about a little bit and some times it slides a lot, especially in the damp. Nowhere near as good as Diablos. Thinking of changing them for a pair of Diablo Corsas (old style) which are going cheap just now

Anyone else found the same or could other factors be of influence.

Hi,

My second set of 208gpa's were rubbish on my R1 trackbike, slidding the rear all over the place. The first set were very good and slid nicely and controllably. Got Racetec's on now which I rate as much better. Got Diablo's on the DD 583 (obviously) both sets are second-hand and suite the bike perfectly. My 900ssie had 207RR's on and went 'hard' after a couple of years, second hand Supercorsa's have transformed it. I think you'll find the Diablo Corsa's would be ideal for the road and limited track use.

I ran with 208rr's on the 996 and they did a fairly good job on the road and the track. Not very confidence inspiring on wet roads, and they did let go a coupla times when I pushed my luck on the track... once was a big one!

Got me some racetech's now and on a dry track they're superb. When they found the limit of traction at Donny t'other week it was powering out of corners, and that was just a nice smooth slide, nothing to even persuade me to back off the throttle. Don't even think about opening the throttle in the wet tho!

Only experience of Diablo's is on the m620, but even considering the distinct lack of grunt they're by far the best all weather tyre I've used. If I were to try'n predict them on the 996 I'd think they'd be the perfect 'weather compromise' tyre, but wouldn't compete with the racetech's in the dry.

thank guys, good to know its not just me then. corsas it is then
