Admire his achievements but his dominance in the sport was as the expense of close and competitive (for that read interesting racing). It is time to let some new blood fill his shoes (a tall order arguably but he cannot remain within Ferrari ad infinitum) Now if only Rossi could somehow be beguiled into taking over the mantle from him.
I know I'm a bitter twisted old g*t, but I never liked him anyway. Yes he has loads of facts and figures up against his name, but no style like Senna or even any of the recent hard racers. He would never have racked up all the trophies he's got if he had any real competition over the last few years.
Bikes: R1200RT F800GS. Hopefully another Ducati soon

His statistics speak for them selves and there is no denying his ability but at what cost he has been totally ruthless at times putting other drivers lives at risk. In time hopefully we will forget his bad points. I think if Senna had survived he would have severely dented Schumeys record. Hopefully Luis Hamilton may bring a new lease of life to what has become a dull event when compared with the excitement of MotoGP/WSBK/BSB
