SPC BMW gone belly up ???

SPC BMW were shut on saturday, friend of mine had his F650 in there (they were selling it for him) and he had a call from the manager suggesting that he came and got his bike.

he did and was told that the 'plug had been pulled' so they were off down the drain.

another established dealer goes...

(at least its not Ducati this time!)

I heard on the F650 forum that they were under new management and were only closed during the transition period. Looks like they've actually gone under then. I heard Cooper BMW of Reading had gone too.

Cooper BMW of Reading have only stopped selling bikes, the car side is still going.

They didn't go bust/under they closed the bike side as it didn't fit with their plans.

Should their legal eagles be reading this

Either way its a nightmare trying to find a home for BMW bikes now. had a customer on saturday with a K1200S to px and couldnt find a buyer anywhere! all the BMW dealers are over stocked. so good luck if you want to sell one.

Dealers going down (/ not selling bikes anymore) isnt good for any part of the industry.

SPC is just down the road from me and i hope its back up and running again soon. (even if its just for the staff)

748RS race bike (well, 853 but who\'s counting!)
