Go for it Lilly girl ! I was out on the firegrate this morning trying out my new textiles ! 6.30 and -2degs but the breaky at the cafe in shrewsbury soon warmed me up ! lol
I'm just in training for those oh so cold spells up in the Alps !lol
Biking has never been a summer only thing for me, so good on ya girl!
Well I think I can probably say that I have now popped my winter biking cherry.
My bike usually goes away with the clock changes, but with the new bike I have now ridden in the rain and now happy to ride in all conditions.
Managed a couple of hundred miles today in chilly temperatures with wet roads, slippery conditions, frost in places and the last bit in the dark.
The funny thing is I really enjoyed it.
Now off to look for heated grips and automatic nose wiper
Glad you enjoyed yourself! Was indeed a good day out and nice for me to head deep into Wales on some new roads. Thanks to your Ma and Pa for the dinner and Banjo lessons Nice quiet road down there too which must be pretty good early on a summer morning. Heated grips? Was that why Jon insisted on swapping bikes with me for the last 80 miles? Just checked the speedo and was a round trip of 345 miles, not bad for November.
Interesting day though lost the front twice, feet off pegs moment but still laughing inside my lid.... is this normal?
Oh yes. My 999 is put away now the gritters have been out. Its Multistrada time! Had a nice little blat over the Lincolnshire Wolds with Marko to Mablethorpe.Had some laughs watching the racing, then a good hoon back, stopping off for a quick pint. Not too shabby.
Went out myself on the Monster today. Only 40 odd miles and the clutch deffo needs bleeding now. At some points the bike was still moving forward with the clutch lever full in!

Aye its normal! winter riding has its attractions
Only moment I had was running into that greasy downhill off camber right hander and going to change down and getting neutral, not normally a big problem but matters were made worse by the fact the Multi just wouldnt idle without stalling yesterday. So finding myself running into said corner in neutral with the engine not running was not fun. Knew I couldnt get a gear and bump it as I would have been on the deck in an instant so had to wait till I was round the bend and upright before thumbing the starter. Typically though it took a few presses before it started by which time I had almost come to a rest going up the hill Lily pulled alongside and looked as if to say WTF are you doing You need to trade that KTM in for a multi, never had any trouble with the front end all day
