I'm sorry I haven't a clue ....

I'm very lucky to have been offered two tickets to see the recording of two shows of this iconic radio 4 show tomorrow night. They're being recorded at the Victoria Palace Theatre.

Anyone ever been? I've never seen any radio or TV show recorded before.

Me & Mrs E are really looking forward to it

Will you be hungover? I thought you'd be drowning your sorrows today?

Very sombre mood around Twickenham today ..

Nope ... watched it on the telly .... I'm pleased to say that I gave my two tickets to an Argentinian lady friend and her husband so at least I'm pleased to know that she would have enjoyed it.

I'm off to the two South Africa games so I'm looking forward to them - was at the NZ game last week and felt if we had properly been awarded the first try the score would have been quite different. We still wouldn't have won but there wouldn't have been the 21 point gap ... I'm sure of that.

Not a good day really ... bikes been dead all week, Everton managed to lose at home, England lose a game most expected them to win ....

... one bright light on the horizon though. Went to get a new battery from Pegasus today, just installed it and wooo hoooo, started first prod!!!

So, I'm off to the pub now for a couple - will stay reasonably sober so that I can get a couple of hours in on the bike tomorrow before the Royals play the Spurs ... not going to that either, just gonna sit at home and watch it on the telly

I agree, that first try should definitely have been awarded. And it would have changed the complexion but equally, the AB's still would have won. I watched all the highlights on The Rugby Club and I think they still had a gear or two.

Wahey, at least she's going now.

Well I've been and picked Ynes up from her party, got a curry in the oven and just gonna have a beer and put the kids to bed ... might watch a movie ... hrmm, Batman Returns?

PS - I'm pretty annoyed that pretty much every game of rugby was shown today EXCEPT Aus V Italy. We won 18-25 but I would have liked to see how the continued experiment of Rogers at 10, Larkham at 12 and Giteau at 9 would have gelled, especially with Mortlock back in the 13 jumper and Tuqiri back on the wing.

Ahh well, nevermind.

Enjoyed a very pleasant curry meself tonight.

Was hoping the France AB game would be on the box tonight but couldn’t find it anywhere and just found out that La France got murdered 47 to 3. Them kiwis are on fire.

Talking of murder I see poor Marc Cecillon has been sentenced to 20 years in jail for killing his wife.

Ah well, I’m off to bed now …. dreaming of dry roads tomorrow …… ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yes, they're on fire. Not many nations will stand between them and holding the William Webb Ellis trophy.

Not sure how you can feel sympathy for someone who shot his wife and killed her but hey, I'm I'm only a young, extremely fallible chap.

Take it easy mate. If there's one thing that Mr Cecillion taught us is that life is for living. It can all be taken away from us so quickly so enjoy it while you've got it.

Hmmmm... In my stint as a training manager for my company, our European training headquaters are in a place called Villefontaine. Over the 15 years or so that I did this job I spent about 2 years (in 2-3 week chunks) in France. It's 5km from Bourgoin Jallieu and I used to go along to their home matches with my friends from work (who all live in the area and are rabid Bourgoin fans) and watch Marc Cecillon play. He was their hero, but when they speak of him now it is with contempt. Locally, he's been a pain in the a$$ for years with a big drink problem and a violent temper (and you can imagine how dangerous a bloke his size is when he's on a bender). According to the locals he was also insanely jealous and it was simply a matter of time before he did something crazy. The locals have no sympathy for him - even though he was an awsome No 8
