Which game console for Xmas ?

I feel the need to lighten up these days....

Since we dont have a console of any type in our home which is the best to go for???

and yes, I am thinking primarily of Bike games!

I have a feeling that a good old Playstation 2 might be the answer for the variation of games but my knowledge of those and whats new is puny.

I do like the idea of the Xbox 360 and especially wireless controllers but would find it hard to justify that amount of money - unless I said it was for my daughter of course

Cheers - Frank

PS2 is dead Frank, PS3 out in Japan now won't be here until March next year, lets say probably Q3 next year before you'll be able to get one fairly easily. That leaves the 360 for Xmas I've got one and it's a great piece of kit to be honest (always a playstation man before) MotoGP is photo-realistic on the thing in hi-def, great on-line also (xbox-live)

Games consoles are like Pints of lager, you should`ve stopped them years ago and certainly shouldnt be touching them after 30yrs of age.

Far more important ways of spending what little time you have left on planet earth...

I changed from XBox to PS2 as more bike games on PS2 (TT Superbikes, Tourist Trophy etc).

Both are really dead consoles now though.

There is a ducati game coming out on XBox though. This is the PC version:

360 and Pro Evolution soccer is the way forward.

Much as Van is right, it's sad playing them after a certain age, i use my X-box and football game most nights.... i have trouble sleeping and it relaxes me lots to take brain out and play a game.

X-box IMO is WAY better than PS2 (not sure about PS3)

excellent, you know you can justify it on the grounds that it is also a dvd player and a great place to store your digital music.

Sorry about that Frank! Is it just the game you have ordered or a console?

Still the PS2 for me ( at the moment ) they have all the best bike games, TT Superbikes, Tourist Trophy ( the best ) and Moto GP 4.

Just bought Moto GP for the PSP, very good but only eight tracks.
