The 300c looks pretty smart, but that's it.

As cars, they are truly ****!

Its does not look good or 'bad'. Looks like a pile of derivative American junk to me. I had a good look at one a while back when we had one in for benchmarking. It just does not compare to the quality of a European built car.

I must admit that I've driven quite a few American cars although only Hertz rental cars and nothing particularly special, but they always struck me as being really crude and plastic ridden compared to European and Japanese cars.

Usually had a Ford Taurus or Chevrolet Malibu, but I had a supposedly upmarket Lincoln thing a couple of times - all of them built out of that really nasty cheap hard plastic inside. I used to get given Ford Mustang convertibles a lot as well and I couldn't believe how crude those things are. Look under the bonnet and it's difficult to remember seeing an engine with carbs, and the axle tramp when you slam your foot down....

It's no wonder that the US car industry is struggling

Its a Chrysler, as in Chrysler/Daimler, as in owned by Mercedes Benz.

Its a Good looking, better styled Merc, its got the E class chassis and the 3 Lt Diesel engine is straight out of a Merc too.

Fully loaded for silly money, I took out a Mitsubishi Warrior, a Convertable M3, a Range rover sport and the 300c and I went back for a second test of the 300c. (looking for something to get me up and down the M4 in comfort)

It drives soooo smooth, loads of torque, relaxed, chilled out driving and its fully loaded and theres room for 2 adult bodies in the boot...What more could you want for the money???

I do hate "Badge snobbery".
