Quick Castle Combe Report - With Video Links
Try and keep it short, but it was my best racing weekend to date so if you want to go straight to the videos they are at the bottom. lol

Took us 6 hours to get to castle combe and by the time me and shane had seen the track on our push bikes it was dark! The next day up bright and early and out for my first taste of the track..... Fast, bland and bumpy! but an enjoyable track. When i returned to the paddock crasher clegg wanted to swap my standard road suspension (forks and shock) for his. I was a little hesitant but after returning from Qualifying told him he wasnt getting it back, it was amazing!

Race 1
Not the best start but with people gettig caught behind the unlucky Sam West made back some places and had a good battle with Skids before he pipped me across the line. I finished 6th in class my best racing finish ever! Good ride

Race 2
Got a better start and hung onto the back of Dallas. With new found confidence in my suspension got brave enough to try and pass Dallas into Quarry. I made it, i couldnt believe it, then coming out of the first chicane We came across Ross who moved across the track onto the bit i wanted and i had to take to the grass to avoid clipping him. Dallas went back past but the air in my helmet had turned blue and i went back down the inside into tower and made it stick. stayed infront until we approached the last chicane when i thought "wheres Dallas gone?" i looked to my right and there he is, 6 inches away looking at me like the Stig! He braked i looked forward and thought "********" i anchored on and slid the bike into the barrier, bracing myself for impact...... but it was a cushion not a fixed barrier! it just moved for me to find first and carry on!!!! i did lose another place to Ghost but cant grumble at a 7th place finish to say i was on the grass and i rode into a barrier!

It was nice to meet more of the paddock aswell, having a bit of banter in the parc farme. Top weekend and as promised some videos from my onboard camera.

Me and dallas battling, with me ending up in the barrier

Lol Dean, you spooked me when I arrived at that chicane WTF I thought and had to go straight through it. My best result too, amazing what some suspension can do.

I just loved the Vid where you went into the barrier. Jes you must have had brown pants after that.

Lol, that will be why when I got there the tight left of that chincane was even tighter as you and Senna had moved it all over...lol
On the vid it looks like your about to hit a solid wall, so can only imagine what went through your head.

wrong line?
After viewing the video evidence, i think that a set of motocrosser tyres would fit nicely onto deans bike, and maybe an earth movers blade attached to the front!!

That wall looked really solid to me.... but I think the tyres on the end look heavier after that!

STOUTLY Russell!

P!ssed myself at that video! Not thru laughing, just cos I'm old and P!ss myself now and again
Really, top vid. Nice one. I'm sure the guys at the front will have some competition from Kamikaze Russell, especially if we had another class B grid.
Top viewing mate.
