Numptystrada question

Been trying to decide the derivation of the motor in the MS? Am assuming it's based on the original air cooled lump fitted to monsters, SS's etc but with the addition of Testastretta narrow angle heads with twin spark plugs? Anyone care to elaborate?

Might be buying one when the 996 finally dissapears over the horizon......... why are there no sobbing smilies?

Yep, it's basically a modified 900 engine, but with more go, spins up quicker and is smoother. And don't be fooled by the power output, these things go well, plus the 2 valve engines suit the MS way of doing things.

Yep,basically you have reworked heads, twin spark plugs and 992cc.The motor has a claimed 6bhp more than the 900ie.
