Been on here a couple of years ago. Sold my 1098 as I thought it was time to take it easy and bought a cruiser :-( well I know now I still have a few sport bike years in me yet.
Anyway I am pleased to say I am back again this time with a 2008 red 848 with just 5500 miles.
Not sure if I should have went for another 1098 but decided to go for the 848.
Time will tell :-)

Everyone I know with a 848 are perfectly happy with them as a road and trackday bike and watching the 848 Challenge shows they also make a decent race bike

lots of decent weather so a good chance to get out and Enjoy your new bike

Cheers skidlids.

Managed a short run for the first time yesterday on my 848 as I'm just recovering from a broken collarbone.
Anyway I am we'll pleased with the 848, handles great light and acceleration is better than I expected after owning the 1098 a couple of years ago.
Since my last Ducati I've owned a xvs 1300 :-( and a gsxr 1000 k9 and got to admit the Ducati brings the biggest smile from me.
I think that old saying is correct you either love or hate the Ducati :-).
Hopefully I'm on the mend now and get a few miles in before the end of the season. ��
