Couldn't agree more - it used to be fun... these days it's just an excuse to eat too much and drink too much... maybe it's not so bad after all....

Christmas starts officially for me on the 1st dec...The kids in my classes would NOT DARE mention it before.
Then it's the 3 weeks winding them up with xmas parties, santa, nativity etc
Then I come home and I'm knackered!
Everybody basical;ly gets whats left on the shelf on Xmas eve...In fact, it's a great time to shop...Everyone's in the pub and the prices are already on 50% off for the january sale!

For goodness sake...It's only 2 or 3 days!...Thank god/allah I don't do Eid as well!...(But obviously for YOU Dad....)

Two Ronnies sketch: Christmas Eve in the off-licence

I'll have two bottles of scotch ...

Yep

Three of Port - the good stuff ...

OK

A bottle of rum ...

Sure

Two cases of Stella ...

You get 3 for the price of two.

OK, 3 it is. A case of the Chardonnay ...

Right

Gallon of stout ...

Yep

4 packets of Hamlet ..

OK

Oh, and 3 bottles each of sweet sherry, vermouth and Baileys.

Looking forward to Christmas?

Nah ... if it weren't for the kids we wouldn't bother.

im so chuffed im not the only one with a bah humbug attitude towards xmas, my missus knows not to mention until 1st december now

it is just a excuse to eat loads and drink even more, a good idea but why spend over £200 and 3hrs in tesco's for 1 day, everythings open on boxing day now

last september my local woolworths had xmas carols playing. thats annoying
