All I've done to mine is swap the rear spring for a Maxton one to suit my weight (the original being way too hard), adjusted the damping to suit, put a 14 tooth front sprocket on and swapped the original Michelins for Dunlops (it turns quicker with Dunlops)
Maxton (and others) will rebuild your suspension front and rear to suit your weight and riding style if you want.

Baines racing have done a excellent job on my mates 900SS, both forks and shock have different internals, not sure if they fitted a different spring or not.
Maxton has always done a excellent job for us on the TT race bikes but I haven't had him rework any Ducati suspension for me.
