Q reg winter storage

Living in bloody Norway bike season's hopelessly short

While you fortunate gentlemen are still wearing shorts in sunny Britain we northeners put on thick layers of sheep's wool and reindeer skins

Hence, my precious Duke got wrapped in cotton and put away in a garage ages ago (sob). The poor thing has been sitting for a while and I'm wondering if I ought to engage 6th gear and turn the back wheel a few revolutions once in a while in order to lubricate all the little bits and pieces inside the engine.

Would this be a good or a bad idea?

Btw, I sprayed a little 2-stroke oil down the spark plug holes before parking it for the season. Don't know if turning the engine will blow the oil out of the cylinders, though...
