G'wan g'wan, g'wan....

All you need's a 5mm allen key (or socket).
Undo the two screws, unhook the cover from behind the clutch slave cylinder, lift it away, and have a look.

Is it filthy? Full of a foul mix of mud and chain lube?
Or is it spotless, because you clean around here all the time?


If it's filthy, clean it out properly, and examine the sprocket retaining plate.
Is it in good condition, and are the 2 small allen screws correctly tightened?
And what about the sprocket itself? Teeth hooked and/or worn?

Front sprockets have to transmit the power of the engine through a very small number of teeth: they have a hard life.
Keep an eye on them.

















As you've probably realised, I'm only posting this cos I took mine off yesterday for the first time in ...... let's just say, a while, shall we?

I daresay many of youse guys check here regularly anyway. But if you don't, it's not a bad idea to do so regularly. Those sprocket retaining plates can fail, y'know...
