Mounting a Lap Timer

I've got myself a rollcentre laptimer (T200) and I'm looking for the best place to fit it.

Ideas I've had

1. Display mounted on yokes using velcro, sensor on indicator mount again using velcro

Downside - It's bl@@dy obvious on trackdays, it leaves velcro behind when not being used on track.
Upside - I can see if my times are improving in realtime.

Or.

2. Display mounted under seat unit (Velcro again) sensor mounted on a small bracket and bolted to the subframe where the rear pegs mount.

Downside - can't see the times until sessions completed
Upside - not obvious during a TD. Nothing left visible when not in use.

Both these allow for the sensor to be used on the opposite side for circuits like Rockingham.

Any other suggestions or comments?
