Personally? No ! But I used to work at a CAA/AQD approved metal stockholder and sold lots of exotic metal alloys to the aerospace industry. High heat nickel alloys, aerospace grade aluminium and titanium, that sort of stuff. We sold it in every type of form as well such as sheet, bar, tube, hexagonal section etc. During this time I had a load of contacts with small engineering businesses, fabricators of all manner of aircraft parts and even one man outfits who specialised in milling or welding or some such trade. The sort of 'lifetimes experience' blokes who could probably knock something like that up in their sleep. I still say that £2.5K is a silly amount of money for an exhaust.  |
