Forking Hell

Hi All
My long damply stored 888 Strada has pitted fork sliders and the gold anodising? could do with with renewing due to alluminium corrosion under the clamps.

1. Has anyone used any of the companies that re-chrome the fork sliders then grind them back to the correct size?

2. Are the forks the same as any other Duc models that would be more likely to be available somewhere, (thinking fleabay etc)?

I almost have all the bits and pieces I need for the big strip down but am still missing the main side panels, so if there are any gathering dust in the back of a garage somewhere could that person immediately contact me with a ridiculously low price!!

Cheers Guys
Andy
