Oh yes!!! I've cracked it, well at least for now. Took the connector off the throttle switch (exactly where you said it would be skids), and it was rusted and full of water. Now after loads of contact cleaner and screw driver scraping, I re-assembled it and hay presto... She works (touch wood). Give her a blast up the street and a-OK. Cheers for all the help ppl, much appreciated, but take mental notes incase someone else gets this prob!

P.S. when the manual arrives I'm more than willing to help anyone out if they get stuck too.
