I'm with Derek on this one.

I had the exact problem you describe on my ST, so I bought an ally swingarm, that on the face of it should have been an easy swap. I then had an impossible job trying to get various bits to make it fit. The most frustrating bit was sourcing the right pinch bolts for the swingarm pivot, I had them on back order for ages with guys like JHP and Cornerspeed (you'll know from their reputation that these guys can normally pull rabbits out of hats - but no joy in this case)

I did ponder just getting something made up that would do the job but then, I don't know about you, the thought of holding my swingarm in place by sticking some aftermarket bolts in there without knowing whether they had the required tensile strength or shear strength wouldn't have filled me with confidence two up on a 100 mph sweeper

I had the swingarm for nigh on a year before decising that it was more bother than it was worth and sold it on. Powder coating for me
