Nope, never heard of that. Don't understand why it might be either... but then I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed!
I got mine from some1 I know and they'd done a single heat cycle (12 laps of Mallory) so were good as new.

I'd not think twice about doing the same again, it's a huge cost saving!
