| I'm not sure that what the petition saying is actually true though.
"We take exception that the directive has not addressed the major cause of motorcycle fatalities which are collisions caused by car drivers".
My understanding was that the majority of bike accidents these days are single vehicle types, eg running wide on a corner. This might include hitting an oncomming car but its hardly the car drivers fault. DAS can't be a good thing, allowing a rider with perhaps 5 days experience to go out and legally ride an R1 is madness.
I'm inclined to think that a stepped licence with extra training will be a good thing. |
