DD Early learning centre 8:30pm this evening

Brands this evening at 8:30pm hopefully at garage 10

This is a debriefing meeting aimed at the DD Novices especially those that have just had their first race meeting

By now you will have had a chance to think about how well you got on and maybe asking why you didn't do as well as you thought you should have.
You may have tried a few diffent bike setings at Cadwell, some may have worked some may not have.

Well I have been talking it over with a couple of others and will be talking to a few more experienced racing hands with a view to holding something a kin to a classroom debriefing session at Brands on Saturday evening around 8:30pm, I'm sure a few of the newcomers will have some questions they would like answered.

People who have said they will be on hand to talk to besides myself are AK (for all your bike setup questions) Andy Johnson, Ian Leah, Domski

I'm not saying we are going to tell you how to race its more a general thing about dismissing some preconceived ideas that may be wrong and pointing you in the right direction.

As for Topics it is What ever the newbies bring up, which is why I mentioned the word debrief. We want to hear their thoughts and concerns about what they have experienced after their first race meeting (or for some aftyer a few race meetings) then those of us with a bit of experience can try and help address some of the issues raised.

two main areas to think about
the rider,

and

the bike,
obviously we have different bikes in the series so what I apply to my 600SS setup may not be right for a Monster, which is where Al and Andy can come in and if Geoff or Ian can enlighten the 620S riders that would be handy

I know from experience that it was more often than not me holding the bike back rather than the bike holding me back, but there may be a few cases where a lack of confidence in the bike due to poor setup may be the reason a rider is a little off the pace, or it could be down to poor gearing choice, not being able to learn the circuit in the limited time available, it may be just a case of taking to long to build up the pace, which can often be down to taking to the grid with the wrong mind set.

We were all new to racing once and after finishing last several times at my first meeting I know how disapointing it can feel and it will feel even worse if your not actually having a battle with somebody.

So if you are thinking of poping along then think about your Cadwell performance and that of your bike as its your feedback that is needed to see if those of us with more experience can help.
As i said previously its a debriefing aimed at trying to enable those entered in DD to get the most out of the series.

What I would like to see from this is closer racing, where the gap between first and last is smaller as this offers advantages to all.
