How long before a race team owner buyes a couple of these and goes WSB/BSB racing. I cant see what would stop them. In anything other than a factory team the 999 is not competitive with the fours and so £35.000 would be a bargain for race team who will have 200bhp before they even think about tunning. Foggy Petronas seem to be able to race bikes that are not even and wont ever be in production so I see no reason why these RR's cant be bought and raced. I have to say that I dont want to see the twins disapear from the grid but in a place where money and winning is the order of the day I see it as a for gone conclusion. (Maybe someone will point out the error of my ways) |
