Yawwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!

Why don't they just ban vehicles altogether, fine us for speeds we could never do, tax us into extinction etc etc......and get the bluuddy torture overwith.

Or........

They could just make the IAM tests that deal with anticipation, visual landmark recognition, hazard perception etc etc the norm rather than for the illustrious few who want the Triangle logo on their Triumph Herald or Beemer...or get it paid for in their line of work. There shoud be a two part test. One to learn how to use the vehicle's controls and the other to learn how to control it and your journey.

How is it we can do 130mph plus on tracks and never come off badly, or at least very rarely.........? cos we're concentrating and have done the homework on the circuit.

If everyone drove like an aware IAM roaduser or a considerate and sensible motorcyclist, then we wouldn't have ro read this Shiiiiiite let alone be threatened with it.

Yes I speed, yes I'll continue to speed....in the name of spending my time on what pays my mortgage, not sat behind the wheel getting to what pays it, but I do it safely and my accident record proves it...

If they open this type of ruling out cart-blanche across the UK, I can see the country's productivity going right down the swanny more than it is.

I could never have done my 65k miles of business driving per annum by doing 30-50 in open country sweeping B-roads. If I stuck to those speeds day-in, day-out, I'd have got to 2-5 customers each day on my patch not the company targetted 8-10.

Some day they'll accept speed is not directly attributable to accident ratios...Shiiiiiit awareness & driving is.
