My concern about getting a second hand shock and cannabilising it for the bushes is chances are an 888 one will be a minimum of 12 years old. I've got 2 and both are worn the same way to a greater or lesser extent. Unless the one you buy is NOS or has been refurbished it'll more than likely be on the way out too....

I reckon you'd be way better taking it to an engineering shop or a suspension specialist and getting them to sort it properly. It surely couldn't be that expensive/difficult a job...?

Failing that what about getting the dealer to search for a bottom bush for a carbed Monster. They're basically the same aren't they?
