I'm not sure Nat to tell the truth, I get the feeling there is some sort of gearing for the rev drive but wether thats just in actually driving the counter or that the input speed is lower than the rpm - I dunno.

Just checked the parts number for the SS series = 402.4.003.1A, damn close to the yours!
