Sorry to hear of the on-going saga with your 900.

If it was me, I 'd now be taking the carbs apart myself to check and of course, the float bowls should come off real easy since its been done recently!

Worn needles + wrong settings
Emulsion tubes worn.
Diaphragms
Float height settings
Carb balance

are all among the things I'd be checking.

Plugs and plug colour is a nice easy check to do.

Are you also saying there is no mis-fire from cold?
