| Northern Italy- any ideas?? In a couple of weeks time the ST is taking me off for a week in the general direction of the South of France / Northern Italy . The itinerary is some what flexible ( we generally make it up as we go along! ) Does anyone out there have any pointers as to areas to visit / roads to take etc? I'm hoping that some of the high passes may be open but not keeping my fingers crossed too hard. Is there something similar to the F1 hotel chain in Italy ( clean / basic / dead cheep! ) ?
