update

Went to Wales for the weekend, to do a few decent miles on the bike.

Glad to say it's as f***ing brilliant as I hoped it would be, especially now it's running properly.

A couple of minor niggles:-

the riding position is way too extreme for a bike with such a useable nature- even my '76 Morini 3 1/2 Sport is comfier! With the bars 3" higher it would be perfect, but this is not possible without modifying the fairing (as has been mentioned elsewhere).

for some reason my LH mirror will not twist up enough for me to see anything! The RH one is fine, and I thought at first the subframe must be slightly twisted, but it's definitely the mirror. How much are they?

Don't really want to change anything much with the bike. I like the way it sounds, with more noise from airbox than exhaust, though carbon or Ti cans would look nicer. I also still think it needs a belly pan.

So that's about it! An indicator bulb blew, though it was the least offensive one, the LH front. Even managed to fit a few tools and the bike cover under the seat!

Great bike, I'm well chuffed. If anyone is reading this and considering buying a 900SSie- well, I've never ridden an 8-valve Ducati but as a road bike, the 900 has more than enough stomp.
