My pair of offs at Anglesey brought the total number of impacts on my helmet to 7 and judging by the cracks & small holes in the outer shell its life saving days were behind it!
I was going to go down the Arai RX-7 route but started having a general look at the top offering from the different manufacturers and found that the Nolan aka X-lite X-802, worn by Stoner and Lorenzo is a bit of an unsung hero. Reviews have it down as having better visability than most and also really effective venting along with top crash protection.

Basically Infinity are no longer a main dealer so are selling off their lids cheap. I managed to buy a plain black X-802 for £150 which is less than 1/2 the price of ebay or similar.
Anyway, lid is a great fit for me and if they had another large I would buy a spare! I think they have M and XL if anyone is interested in a new lid.
