If I recall correctly there was a company that fixed these sort of things, not sure of the name but Scorpio seems to ring a few bells

I've just found it; Scorpio Electronics, cheers. I've emailed them. The other option as I've said would be replacing it with an aftermarket unit, but would removing the unit cause any problems with the coded ignition?
