| First proper ride on the bike last night and again this morning... As an ex R1 owner, I knew the performance wasn't going to blow be away but I do like the torquey motor. I do need to get a type 2 screen though!! Forearms like Pop-eye after 2 rides (and no, not from other "activities")  Looking for a belly pan also for keeping crap off the engine. Waiting for pix from dude at Spareshack. Been a few days now so might just drop in on him. Lovely sounding motor/exhaust (any recommended "loud" ones?) Funny thing this morning though, got my Givi magnetic tank bag out of the loft this morning, only to find that the tank ain't metal (not the outside anyway!!!) No-one was watching so I had a laugh at my own expense. And I miss the 6th cog.... Engine seems to struggle a bit in traffic between 1st and 2nd. Top whack this morning (on a private road of course  ) - 115 ish. Give it a few months and I think I'll be looking for a 916.....In the meantime, cruising is the call of the day. A few q's, does the K&N upgrade worth it for a little Duke? Any other recommended mods?? Thx guys  |
