Spark plugs (one more time)

After standing for a measily two weeks, my little Duke was not too happy about starting up today (even when stood with a battery optimiser connected), she nearly started but not quite.

So - I decided to give her a summer treat - New Plugs.

Out came the NGK Iridium plugs I'd been trying (More power, better economy, easier starting - free sex, blah, blah, blah).

In went some totally standard NGK plugs and guess what, dear long suffering readers - she started instantly on the button!!!

I do seem to remember an article that said standard ignition systems work better with standard plugs than with anything exotic - seems to be right as the Iridium had only done about 3K.

Cheers - Frank
